A shift from the norm.

The most different Thanksgiving I’ve had since the Peace Corps.  Not travelling.  Not hosting.  Spending time with friends for a casual vegetarian meal around 3:00.  Anna and her dear friend are volunteering this afternoon at the United Campus Ministries Thanksgiving supper and we’ll join them to help with some volunteering around 5:00 or 5:30.  Until then, I will go next door to our neighbors’ empty house, turn up their heat, snuggle into a corner of their sofa, and try get caught up on this darn November novel.
